Monthly breed-specific support for owners who want more than generic advice.
You’ve done the work. You’ve read the books, watched the videos, put in the time. And things have got better — in patches.
But progress with a Border Collie is never linear. And without consistent, breed-specific support around you, momentum stalls. Old patterns creep back. Reactive behaviours resurface. You start questioning whether the progress you made is actually going to stick.
It’s not because you’re doing it wrong.
It’s because Border Collies aren’t difficult dogs — they’re highly specific dogs. And the difference between struggling and thriving is usually the quality and consistency of the guidance around you.
Recognise any of these?
“I feel like I’m going backwards again.”
“Why does advice that works for other dogs not work for mine?”
“I don’t have anyone to ask who actually understands this breed.”
“Some days are good. But I never know when it’s all going to fall apart.”
Without a consistent, structured place to turn, progress stalls. Reactive patterns re-emerge. The confidence you’d started to build quietly disappears. And every week without the right guidance makes it harder to stay on track.
The Collie Collective is a monthly membership community built specifically for Border Collie owners.
Not generic dog training content with a Collie on the thumbnail. Proper, structured, breed-specific support focused on exactly what makes this breed unique — and exactly what your dog needs to thrive in the real world.
The Collie Collective exists because of Jasper — my own reactive Border Collie who turned everything I thought I knew about dog training on its head.
I know exactly what it feels like to dread every walk. To come home and cry because nothing is working. To panic the moment another dog appears at the end of the street. To quietly start avoiding routes, parks, and places — because the unpredictability is just too much to manage.
That experience is why every session, challenge and live Q&A inside the Collective is practical, structured, and built for the actual environments you and your dog are navigating. Not theory. Not ideal conditions. Real life with a real Collie.
I’ve worked with owners who felt completely stuck for years. Who’d tried multiple trainers, multiple methods, multiple approaches — and were quietly starting to wonder if things would ever really change.
What they all had in common was that they’d never had breed-specific, consistent support behind them. The Collective exists to change that.
Dogs who once reacted at everything now pause, check back in, and recover quickly. Owners who struggled to stay consistent now have a clear monthly structure that keeps them and their Collie moving forward.
We were struggling to bridge out into the real world, with our lovely at home dog. He was going 0 to 60 into a lunging, barking stress head at the sight of another dog or human, he dangerously lunged at cars. We were conflicted with all the advice we’d had and read, so we joined the Collective, to initially follow the Calm Collie Method – and we love the structured approach. Ellen clearly understands how to help you learn, she’s an absolute collie nerd, really knows her stuff but has the ability to summarise and clarify the work of a number of key thinkers. We’re just 2 ½ months into our journey with the collective, just astounded, for example, by the fact we know have him off leash in a secure field – a few metres from cars and motor bikes flying past him, whereas a matter of weeks ago, he’d be gone – flying along the fence line chasing the cars and getting really pumped. Because of the Collective, slowly and steadily we are now more strategically helping Digby gain resilience and start to manage situations. In the Collective’s Facebook group we are encouraged to share our wins, and post videos. We don’t feel judged by Ellen, she’s very down to earth and offers key bits of advice of what you could do next or just celebrate the progress – go Digs! Then there’s the lovely wider community, who are also there to cheer you on but also there for each other for any low moments. We would love to see Ellen in person if we lived closer, but we feel truly supported on our online journey and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Collie Collective.
Ellen is a brilliant trainer and her work with us and Finn has been invaluable. Finn was highly reactive and even taking him for a short walk had become impossible. Ellen’s knowledge and understanding of Finn’s reactivity was amazing and without her help we would have been lost. Her approach is clear, friendly and professional and we would highly recommend to everyone. Ellen has not only helped Finn but also helped us to understand and learn so much too. We can’t thank Ellen enough for all her hard work with Finn.
Ellen is so Helpful and really knowledgeable. I join the Collie collective a few months ago to help my Collie Blu with his reactivity. I followed her Calm Collie Method program and the changes i've seen are amazing. Blu is much calmer and able to cope around things that he couldn't before. We aren't perfect but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The Collie Collective doesn’t have a permanently open door.
Membership opens for a defined window each quarter, then closes until the next intake. This isn’t a gimmick — it’s how we keep the community focused, supported and genuinely high quality. A community that’s always open to everyone quickly becomes a community that serves no one properly.
When you’re in, you’re in properly. Questions get seen. Progress gets noticed. You’re part of a tight, active community — not lost in a group of thousands.
Yes — and many members find the Collective complements their one-to-one work perfectly. The monthly structure, community support and breed-specific resources sit alongside whatever else you're doing and help you stay consistent between sessions.
